What Storage Unit Sizes are available and how do I Choose the Correct Size?
We offer a wide range of sizes to accommodate your needs. Sizes range from;
5' x 10'(50 square feet) - Will hold furnishings of a mid-size bedroom, including a queen-size bed, dresser, TV, and a group of small to medium sized boxes.
10' x 10'(100 square feet) - Will hold the contents of an entire family room or two full bedrooms, including a number of small to medium sized boxes.
10' x 12'(120 square feet) - Will hold the contents of up to three full bedrooms, or larger items such as pianos, sofa's, tables, or large-screen TVs, plus a variety of various sized boxes.
10' x 15'(150 square feet) - Will hold the contents of up to three full bedrooms, and larger items such as pianos, sofa's, tables, or large-screen TVs, plus a variety of various sized boxes.
10' x 20' (200 square feet) - Will hold the contents of up to three full bedrooms, and larger items such as pianos, sofa's, tables, or large-screen TVs, plus a variety of various sized boxes & some wardrobe boxes. .
10' x 24'(240 square feet) - Will hold the contents of a multi-bedroom house, including oversized items such as a sofa, refrigerator, washer/dryer, dining room set and large wardrobe boxes.
12' x 20'( 240 square feet) - Will hold the contents of a multi-bedroom house, including oversized items such as a sofa, refrigerator, washer/dryer, dining room set and large wardrobe boxes.
10' x 30'(300 square feet) - Will hold the contents of a large multi-bedroom house, including oversized items such as a sofa & loveseat, refrigerator & oven, microwave, washer/dryer, dining room set, entertainment center, and various sized boxes.
RV Covered Parking 12' x 45' - Will hold large motor home or 40' travel trailer.

What is is the difference between and Outdoor Unit and an Indoor Unit?
An outdoor unit is most often a drive-up unit, that gives you the ability to load your belongings directly from a vehicle or truck. An inside unit is within the property and will require you to go inside of the facility. At GMS Storage the indoor units are climate controlled. We have dolly's and hand carts available for your use in the climate control facility.
What is Climate Controlled?
Climate controlled units areitems in a constant environment (temperatures between 55°F and 85°F). To ensure climate control, our storage units are enclosed and, therefore, resist dust, pests, humidity, and more threats to valuables.Due to the extra costs, there are severalfactorsto consider when deciding whether climate controlled storage fits your needs.If you are you storing family heirlooms, photo's, antiques, paintings/artwork, electronics, books or other sensitive materials, you may want to consider climate controlled. Effects of Extreme Temperature:
Cracking, tearing, breakage and warping of wood from expanding and contracting in extreme heat and cold.
Yellowing and degradation of fabrics and papers from extreme temperatures.
Mold and mildew stains on papers and fabrics caused by fungus-friendly temperatures.
Rust, corrosion and weakening of metal which has been exposed to moisture, as well as very hot and very low temperatures.
Ruin of electronics by dampness and/or extreme cold.
Warping of items, as well as fading and degradation of sound and image quality.
Damage to furniture and fabrics by rodents or insects.
What is a Drive Up Unit?
At GMS a drive-up unit is an outside unit, located inside the secure fence, that gives you the ability to load your belongings directly from a vehicle or truck. This is a non-climate controlled unit.
What is the Difference Between Office Hours and Gate Hours?
The office hours are the hours of operation for the managers office. During these hours the site Manager will be available to assist you with your storage needs. payments, etc. The gate hours are the hours of the property, and when your unit can be accessed. If you will require access outside of our standard gate hours ask your Store Manager for information about 24-hour access.
What Should I do If I lose my Access Card or Key for my Lock?
If you lose your access card, we can replace it for a $10 charge. If you lose your key contact the office manager to discuss your options.
